Refund Policy

Last updated 25 July 2026

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for Crayonie's paid plans and who processes them. Paid plans are not yet available for purchase; this section describes how refunds will work once billing goes live. When billing is enabled, payments for paid plans will be processed by Paddle.com, acting as our reseller and Merchant of Record, and refunds are issued through Paddle in line with this policy.

2. EU right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days, without giving a reason. Where you ask for access to a paid plan to begin immediately, rather than waiting out the 14-day period, you will be asked to acknowledge this at checkout. Under EU consumer law, once you have given that acknowledgement and the service has begun, your right of withdrawal ends for that purchase. We do not withdraw or reduce this right on your behalf — it applies unless you have made that specific request and acknowledgement, and unless it has already ended because supply of the service has started.

3. Subscription cancellation

You will be able to cancel a monthly Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not end your current billing period early. You keep access to the features of your paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. There is no automatic refund for the unused remainder of a period you have already paid for.

4. Annual plans

The same cancellation behaviour applies to annual Pro subscriptions. Cancelling an annual plan stops it from renewing the following year, but access continues for the remainder of the paid year, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. As with monthly plans, we do not automatically refund the unused portion of a year you have already paid for.

5. When we will refund

Outside of the EU withdrawal right described above, we will refund a charge where:

  • you were charged more than once for the same billing period (a duplicate charge);
  • a technical fault on our side prevented you from using the Service during a period you were charged for, and the issue was not resolved within a reasonable time; or
  • you were charged after you had already validly cancelled your subscription, for a period that should not have renewed.

We consider refund requests outside these cases individually and do not guarantee a refund for change of mind, under-use of a plan, or dissatisfaction with AI-generated content that a teacher had the opportunity to review before use.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, email support@crayonie.com with the email address on your account and the approximate date of the charge you are asking about. We review refund requests and normally respond within 5 business days.

7. Who processes payments and refunds

Paddle.com acts as our Merchant of Record and processes all payments and refunds for Crayonie. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the charge; the time it takes to appear depends on your card issuer or bank, and can take several business days after Paddle issues the refund.
