Introduce the four stages using the cycle diagram. Trace the loop twice, naming each stage.
Stress that the loop has no start and no end. Pupils often think it begins at rain.

Jar demonstration with warm water, cling film lid and an ice cube on top. Observe droplets forming underneath.
The ice cube is doing the job of cold air high in the sky. Say that out loud; the link is not obvious.
